Local Customs & Culture |
|
Customs: The people of Malta have been known to be both very hosptiable to quite reserved. Maltese people may openly and happily invite somebody into their home early on in a realtionship but Maltese people will not accept being pressured into offering an invitation. Nevertheless being invited to one's home is an important event and should be concidered an honour.
When outside and not on the beach it is best to dress modestly and respectfully, especially so outside bigger cities and when entering a church, if dressed in an offensive way or in a very short dress, people may not be allowed inside certain churches. This is because most Maltese are highly religious.
Accommodation From 200 Euros up (monthly price). |
